Hey y’all! Sorry we’ve been a bit light on projects lately. We’ve been out of town or had guests for the last 3 weekends, and due to our work schedules, we end up doing the vast majority of our projects on the weekends. Have no fear! We don’t have any upcoming travel planned, but I do have a list of projects that I can’t wait to create and share!
I’ve recently started incorporating more teal into my bedroom. I chose a teal lampshade for the bedside table, painted a dresser, and made a pillow for the bed.
I knew that the bookshelf in the corner of the room needed a little teal on it, too. Previously, I was just using it to hold our throw pillows when we are sleeping in the bed.
I was initially inspired by this glass collection at Target. Teal and sea glass and fun jars are an undeniable combination! However, those jars were a bit too large and a bit too expensive for this project. So, imagine how excited I was to find teal glass on a smaller scale at my local Marshalls! I picked up 6 pieces that ranged from $5-10.
Then I just sat them on the bookshelf and rearranged them until I was satisfied.
I topped one with a Charleston classic – a sweetgrass rose!
I am slightly worried about the cat getting up there. She never has before, but if it looks like she’s going to start, I’ll have to come up with a plan to secure the vases.
