Here’s a look at the photoshoot from our wedding engagement. We had photos taken at Demetre Park on James Island, SC.
A couple of weeks ago, we had an amazing evening having our engagement photo shoot done. This was something we were slightly nervous about because we had never had professional photos of ourselves done before. This was also going to be the first time we worked with the photographer we hired for the wedding.
Leading up to the photo shoot, we picked out several outfits to wear. I had no idea that you were supposed to wear more than one outfit, but alas, you are.
We were told not to pick anything with a pattern because it can be distracting to the photo. In the end, we picked some good solid color combinations that also correspond with our wedding colors.
We had our photos taken at Milton Demetre Park on James Island, the same place where I proposed. It’s beautiful and has views of the harbor and downtown, a marsh, and a beach, so we knew that we could get a wide range of photo backdrops.
Our photographer’s name is Nicole, and she owns Ava Moore Photography. Like I said, we had only seen her photos online and had a long conversation with her, but had never worked with her before.
We were nervous, but she made us feel very comfortable and talked us through the experience the whole time. Check out how some of the photos turned out.
We ended up having SO much fun and we LOVE the way the photos turned out!
We are so excited to have these great photos to look back on for our entire lives. Plus, now we’re really excited for how the photos from the wedding are going to turn out! Thanks so much to Nicole for the great job she did to keep us natural and take great photos.
If you’re looking for a wedding photographer in Charleston, she’s your girl.
We plan on using these photos for our Save the Dates as well as our wedding website. I can’t wait to share them!
