I am so excited to share my favorites from my bridal portraits with you today. I never really saw the point of bridal portraits: it isn’t your day, or your actual bouquet or maybe even your actual hair and makeup choices. However, my photographer described them as a chance to get all of the shots that I exactly wanted, without worry of whatever might come up on the day of. and in retrospect (spoiler alert: it rained on our wedding day) I’m so glad that we did these when we did. I still got some portrait-y shots on the big day, but this really got them out of the way, and served as the perfect trial run for my whole look.
They were also an opportunity to get pictures in a second venue; I selected the Cistern on the College of Charleston campus – the spot where I graduated and one of my favorite scenes in my very favorite city.
I’ll mostly let the photos do the talking, but here are some details:
Photographer: Ava Moore Photograpy
Hair/Makeup: Vski Salon
Bouquet: Wild Flowers Inc
Dress: Allure Romance 2716
Shoes: Kate Spade
Necklace: My great-grandmother’s pearls
Bracelet: My something borrowed
Pearl Ring: purchased on the Charleston Market (I wear daily)
Earrings: Bauble Bar (no longer available)
Special shout out to my friend Danielle, who helped dress me and assist me before, during, and after the shoot! You da best!
Without further ado:
As for what I’ll do with the photos, I ordered a large canvas print that was displayed on our guestbook table (the picture in front of the gates). Otherwise, I am planning to order a photo album and some prints for frames!
