We are back again today with another easy Charleston hike – the Patriot’s Point Nature Trail. This is a 1 mile each direction (2 mile total) flat shaded trail. The parking lot and entrance are located directly across from Omar Shrine at Patriot’s Point.

Patriot’s Point Nature Trail
The trail is a really easy and shaded walk and includes a few look out towers.
The highlight of the trail is definitely the end – there is a lookout deck overlooking the harbor. It has panoramic views from Sullivan’s Island to Fort Sumter to downtown Charleston. When the tide is out you can walk out to a tiny little beach. When we were there this time, the tide was way in so we stopped at the observation point.
This is a great hike, especially if you are staying in Mt. Pleasant. The entrance is very close to the base of the bridge, so if you wanted to turn it into a longer walk you could climb the bridge next!
Do you have any favorite hikes in Charleston? We love trying new trails!
