One idea is these really simple snow ball Christmas ornaments! This is a beautiful and easy Christmas decor idea.
They are such a fun way to add a snowy look to any tree. And, as a bonus, they work with almost any theme of decor. Win-win!
You can make these ornaments in about 5 minutes each. I suggest making them in a batch and making a dozen!

These ornaments were inspired by DecoArt’s Snow-Tex paint. It is a white paint with a chunky consistency that makes it look like snow! That makes this a super simple craft idea.
I think that the paint was designed to add a snow-capped look to Christmas villages, but it works great to create snow balls, too!
You have the option of adding glitter for a glittery snowball look. It totally depends on your feelings towards glitter (haha!) but glitter snowballs matched my holiday decorations really well.

I tried two types of glitter – fine glitter and confetti glitter. You can find both at craft stores. I just suggest being sure it is white or clear colored.
I used fillable clear ornament balls for this easy DIY. However, you could also use a foam or styrofoam ball. You’d just have to add a hanger using hot glue!
How to make snow ball Christmas ornaments
Snow ball ornaments are a fun way to add a white Christmas aesthetic to your tree! And they are super simple to make.
Materials
- Snow-tex paint
- Ornament balls
- Optional: glitter (clear or white)
Tools
- Paint brush
Instructions
- Use brush to apply sow-tex paint to ornament. Use a dabbing motion and allow areas to remain chunky.
- Place upside down to dry.
- Sprinkle with glitter if desired.
- Hang with ribbon, string, or ornament hanger.
