To build a bed from scratch might sound like a huge DIY project. But, it doesn’t have to be! It is actually possible to use some of these DIY bed plans to build a frame for a bed quickly and for not much money.
If you want to make a really simple, inexpensive bed, I will point you to our DIY platform bed. You can make it in one day, and you only need a mattress- no box springs. It can easily be adjusted to be a queen size, king size, or twin bed size.

How high should my bed be?
Ideally, when you sit on your bed, your knees will align with your hips. However, it can be hard to do this if you have two people of very different heights sharing one bed. The average bed is between 16 and 25 inches high.
