Super easy DIY Pumpkin Spider Web Halloween Candy Bowl

Looking for a super easy DIY Halloween decoration idea? Here is how to make DIY pumpkin spiderweb halloween candy bowls!

I love doing Halloween crafts. Sometimes they’re big, sometimes they are super simple.

I was recently walking up and down the isles of Harris Teeter, or grocery store, and saw these spiderweb baskets.

I didn’t know what to do with them, but I just knew I had to come up with a craft idea and so I grab two of them.

I got home and messed around with some of the extra Halloween supplies we have on hand and came up with this idea – a pumpkin spiderweb Halloween candy bowl!

Sound complicated? It’s really not.

Honestly, this is a one step Halloween craft that could be most likely duplicated with items from the dollar store.

But, I will show you exactly what I used and exactly how I did it.

STEP 1: Remove the stem from the pumpkin

Hopefully, you chose a pumpkin with a removable stem. To check for this, kind of wiggle the stem. If you can see a crack between the stem and the rest of the pumpkin, then you can remove it.

Just use one hand to push down on the pumpkin and the other hand to pull up on the stem, and it should pop right out.

Worst case scenario, you could use a pair of scissors just to trim it as close to the pumpkin as possible.

STEP 2: Apply hot glue to bowl

Remove any tags or stickers from your spider a bowl and then add hot glue to the bottom of it. Be generous.

STEP 3: Attach

Press the hot glued bottom of the plastic bowl onto the top of the stemless pumpkin.

Press and hold while you count to 25. And then let dry completely.

STEP 4: Enjoy!

You can definitely use this bowl as decor throughout the October season and also use it as a candy bowl on Halloween!

I love how ours looks with candy in it, but would be cute with decorative objects too. So many possibilities!

Happy hallo-crafting!
