Create a stunning Fall Leaf-inspired Tablescape with DIY decor elements like a fall leaf table runner, pumpkin vase, and matching candlesticks. This guide will help you style your dining room for a cozy and festive autumn look
Honestly, I usually don’t decorate too much for the seasons. Don’t get me wrong, I get excited for holiday decorating, but seasons like fall often get skipped over in my house.
This year I’ve been feeling very cozy, very homebody, and very crafty.
I ended up making quite a few different fall-themed crafts, and so I decided to put together a fall leaf inspired tablescape.
Honestly, this would be great if you were hosting Thanksgiving. It would also be great if you have a formal dining room that you like to decorate for the seasons, and just leave decorated.
I hope that these ideas inspire you and your fall seasonal crafting, and decorating, too!
Fall Leaf-inspired Tablescape
As the weather cools and the leaves change color, there’s no better way to get in the fall spirit than by styling your dining room with seasonal décor.
If you love creating festive, inviting spaces, this Halloween Fall Leaf Tablescape is the perfect way to welcome autumn into your home.
With a mix of rich fall colors, DIY touches, and natural elements, here are some ideas to help you bring this look to life.
Fall Leaf Table Runner
The focal point of my tablescape is the DIY fall leaf table runner—a simple yet stunning piece that brings the outdoors in.
This runner sets the stage for the rest of the décor with its beautiful autumn tones and texture, making it an ideal fall backdrop!
You could also make individual fall leaf placemats instead of a runner if you prefer a smaller size project (and easier to store). Either way, this element creates a warm, festive feel on your dining table.
Pumpkin Vase with Florals
At the center of the tablescape is my pumpkin vase filled with seasonal florals. I love that this uses a pumpkin – but you can also almost forget that it’s a pumpkin and just focus on the leaves. If that makes sense!
The pumpkin vase is simple to make, and you can customize it with your favorite autumn flowers to match the rest of your décor. It anchors the tablescape beautifully and ties in with the matching candlesticks.
Pumpkin Candlesticks
On either side of the pumpkin vase are two pumpkin candlesticks, each made using the same florals for a cohesive, coordinated look.
By using the same florals in both the vase and candlesticks, I creates a sense of harmony and balance in the overall design.
It’s a simple, elegant touch that makes the tablescape feel polished and intentional.
I also love that these candlestick florals are kind of horizontal and the pumpkin vase reaches upward, so theres different dimension there!
Buffet Table: Candy Corn Floral Vase
On my buffet table, I added a fun candy corn floral vase that complements the main tablescape without overwhelming the space.
This playful arrangement brings in a pop of color and adds a subtle Halloween nod to the fall-inspired décor.
It’s a quick and easy DIY project that adds personality to your overall setup.
Shelves: Brown Bag Paper Fall Leaves
To complete the look, I decorated my shelves with DIY brown bag paper fall leaves branches in a white vase.
These simple yet beautiful handmade leaves add texture and a natural element to the room, spreading the fall aesthetic throughout the space.
Not only do these leaves tie in with the table runner and other elements, but they’re also an easy, budget-friendly way to add a rustic touch to your Halloween and fall décor.
Bringing together these elements—fall leaves, pumpkins, and seasonal florals—creates a warm and inviting space that celebrates the beauty of autumn.
Whether you’re hosting a Halloween dinner or simply love styling your dining room for the season, this fall leaf tablescape will elevate your décor with handmade charm.
