Hello everyone! We are back today with another guest post! I hope that you are enjoying this series. We see it as a chance to introduce you to other cool bloggers + projects while we get a little maternity leave breathing room 🙂
Today I have a beautiful project from Meg at Green With Decor. She actually just had a baby this fall, too!
We get a lot of love on our DIY bench projects but we have never built anything quite like Meg’s. The use of pre-made intricate legs really gives this bench an expensive look!
If you are looking for farmhouse bench inspiration, you’re going to love this project!
DIY Farmhouse Benches
From Meg:
Hi! I’m Meg, and I blog about decorating and DIY projects at Green With Decor. I’ve gotten to meet Morgan at the annual Haven Conference, and I’m excited to pop in and guest post for her while she snuggles her adorable new baby!
My husband and I built a farmhouse table and two matching benches for our dining room. It was our first time tackling furniture building, and we’re so glad we took the chance and dove in!
With some tools, a lot of sanding, wood staining and painting, we put together these beautiful benches. Ordering the bench legs and apron set was a huge time saver so we didn’t have to build those pieces from scratch.
We focused on building the tops of the benches and then putting all of the pieces together. We just love how they turned out and some days still can’t believe we actually built them!
You can read our full tutorial on how to build a bench here.
Be sure to click over and send Meg some love!
