5 DIY Halloween Candles you can make yourself!

Here are a bunch of cute candles I made this Halloween!

Bleeding Candles

Want to make your candles…. bleed? It’s actually easy to do!

All you need to do is melt red crayon and let it drip onto your candlestick.

The drips dry quickly and give the candle a spooky effect.

This can be done on small candles, big candles, or even a big group of candles for a dramatic effect!

Tattoo Candles

Did you know that you can apply temporary tattoos to candles – just like skin?

You use the same process – peel off the plastic, press onto the surface, apply a damp cloth, then peel off the backing.

So easy and so many possibilities! I went with a variety of black halloween themed tattoos for a spooky look!

Bent ghost candlesticks

Candlesticks are already kind of spooky, but let’s make them even spookier by turning them into ghosts!

You will need to soak your candles in warm water so that they get soft and pliable.

Then, you can bend them with your hands to give them a spooky shape!

Add a face with a marker and repeat for a whole ghosty family!

Candy corn candle holder

Prefer a sweeter vibe for Halloween? Make these candy corn candle holders!

All you need is 2 vases – one that fits inside the other one.

Fill the space in between with candy corn!

Add a battery powered candle inside the smaller vase and you are good to go!

Spiderweb Lantern

Ok, so this one isn’t really a candle but a lantern – but it’s still awesome!

Fill a jar with faux spiderweb and add spiders as accents between the web and glass.

You can add battery powered lights or – my favorite – orange glow sticks for a spooky glow!
