Looking for a cute Halloween costume idea for your baby? How about dressing them up like a happy little tree? This DIY tree costume would work for a baby, toddler, kid, or adult, and is super sweet!
A tree is adorable by itself but even happier as a happy little tree! We turned this costume into a family group Bob Ross costume! Be sure to scroll down for the pictures.
DIY Tree Costume
The base of this tree costume is a long sleeved green onesie. I cut the leaves out of felt and attached them to the onesie using fabric glue.
I did the same thing for the hat – cut the same leaves but larger out of felt and attached them using fabric glue.
Add brown pants and you have an adorable tree costume!
Want to make this costume yourself? You can download a free printable of the pattern that I used for the leaves. Upload it to your Cricut design space or print it out, trace it onto the felt, and cut the leaves out by hand.
Bob Ross Family Group Costume Idea
Of course, a tree by itself is adorable. But, if you really want to have fun, dress the whole family up as a Bob Ross group!
For a Bob Ross costume, you need the iconic wig. Pair it with a beard and a painting pallet, as well as a button down shirt.
Consider having another family member wear white and work it as the canvas all night long!
Of course, no Bob Ross group is complete without your Happy Little Tree!
