Want to give your fireplace an Easter makeover? Checkout my colorful Easter mantel idea - with lots of bunnies and lots of Easter eggs!
I have been having a ton of fun decorating inside and outside of our home for Easter this year!
One of my favorite spots to decorate seasonally is the mantel and fireplace area.

It's just so easy to swap out the wall hanging and add different accessories.
The fireplace is in our great room, and because of its positioning, you see it right when you walk in the front door.
So what a fun spot to decorate!
Colorful Easter Mantel Idea
Here's what I put up as a part of our Easter mantel!
Oversized Easter Egg Wreath
The most eye catching part of our fireplace decor - in my opinion - is the giant Easter egg wreath.
I love putting an XL wreath in this spot - it just looks so good!
I made the form for this one using a hula hoop and pool noodles and covered it with plastic eggs!

Easter Egg Garland
Matching the wreath exactly - since I made it from the same set of plastic eggs - is our Easter egg garland!
I made one long strand here and looped it back and forth for 3 strands of varying lengths.
For the record, we have 4 clear command hooks permanently on the underside of the mantel. They are for our Christmas stockings, but I hang various garlands from them seasonally.
Here's my tutorial on how to make an Easter egg garland.
Flocked Bunnies
A new addition this year is the flocked bunnies. These are popping up at a few stores - but I grabbed these at Walmart.
I actually bought quite a few, messed around with them, and returned the extras. Look at me showing restraing!
You can get the flocked bunnies here, this year at least:
Peeps Vase
On the right side of the mantel I put my DIY peeps vase. These are faux, foam peeps and faux yellow tulips, too.
I likes having this on one side compared to bunnies all over. It is asymmetrical and feels a little bit more interesting than my original design, which was just all-the-bunnies.
Here's the tutorial on how to make a faux peeps centerpiece.
Other Bunnies
Sprinkled throughout there are a few other bunnies. Some are ceramic, some soft and furry.
My favorite are the faux chocolate bunnies! You could make them any size and they are just so sweet and silly!
