I don’t really say that I make New Years Resolutions, but I certainly like setting goals for myself. 2015 is going to be a monumental year for us. We are getting married and spending two weeks honeymooning in Italy! Here are a few of our goals for the New Year.
Slow down and enjoy the wedding – I know that it’s going to be a lot of stress and a lot of work coming at us in the next three months. I want to do it big and do it right, but that weekend, I really want to sit back and enjoy it. We may never have so many loved ones in one place at the same time – I just want to soak it all up.
Take a small trip somewhere we’ve never been before in the fall – I know that we are taking a dream honeymoon in April, but we also want to take a mini trip, once things have slowed down, hopefully in the fall. We’ve hoarded a bunch of Hilton rewards points and we’re thinking somewhere mountainous that we’ve never seen before… but we won’t even start thinking about that until the summer.
Start saving for a down payment – We’ve already been stashing away every spare penny to pay for this wedding. We are hoping that we can keep than mentality alive after the wedding and instead save for a down payment on a house. My goal is to move in 2016, so what we do and save in 2015 will really decide if that is possible and what kind of home we end up with.
Redesign the blog – I’ve been rocking this blog design for a few years now and am itching for a change. As much as I love tinkering with code (re: not at all) I’d love to hire a professional to do it. Clearly, this will be post-wedding.
Keep checking things off the 101 – Of course, we won’t abandon our 101. We have 2015 and half of 2016 to cross things off our bucket list. We should probably get on it already!
