January has been such a wacky month around here! The weather has varied from 80 degrees to 20 degrees and we have varied from slammed busy traveling and j chilling relaxing.
We are excited for February – the superbowl, valentines day, and I am challenging myself to not shop at Target or Homegoods for the whole month (gulp!) I can’t wait to share! In the mean time, here’s what went down this month:
In the Condo:
I shared how I store my scarves – on a towel rack in my closet!
I made the world’s easiest pillow cover using faux fur.
I revamped the bedroom lamp and couldn’t be happier with the results.
Sean photoshopped us some awesome letter art from things we photographed downtown Charleston.
I was inspired by Kate Spade to make a no-sew bow pillow.
We totally failed at building custom kitchen chairs, threw in the towel, and bought them instead.
I whipped up a really cool jar to store matches in, just for giggles (a great zero cost project!)
I made a super fun pot to hold a housewarming cactus for my sister.
We totally made over a sick dresser I found at Palmetto Goodwill for $32!
In the Kitchen:
I shared one of my go-to recipes: chunky guacamole salad.
We made mexican pizzas and they were so easy and so yummy.
I experimented with making baked potato soup from hash browns.
Around Charleston:
We shared the deets from our yummy anniversary dinner at the Grocery.
We tried out the new restaurant Bohemian Bull – and shared the total lowdown.
We ate at Il Cortile del Re for Restaurant Week and shared everything we had.
We went to the UNCW CofC Basketball game and UNCW got stomped. (duh.)
We visited Wannamaker Park in North Charleston & had a great time exploring!
Other Stuff:
I shared my new years resolutions (which helps to explain my no spending challenge for February!)
Sean made a very cool infographic about the blog in 2013.
We both read & reviewed the book Dark Places. Spoiler alert – we loved it!
I shared my thoughts on the color of the year: Radiant Orchid.
Sean spilled the beans on his new favorite social media – Jelly.
What are you looking forward to in February??!
