Hello hello and welcome back to our One Room Challenge: Laundry Room Edition. You might remember that we are doing a 6 week laundry room makeover. Week 1 was the least glamorous but most necessary.
This past week we:
- Demo-ed all the old metal wire shelving
- Patched & sanded the holes from said shelving
- Scraped the popcorn ceiling
- Painted the walls
Whew, that was a lot of work and a lot of it was messy!
The wall color in here is Nimbus Cloud by Behr. It is a very cool white that I actually picked as a color-match to the tile that we will be hanging. But don’t you get thinking that I have gone off my color train for an all white world! We are going to be adding a lot of the Behr color of the year – In the Moment – all around the space. I also really want to let the natural wood and woven colors sing. I think that this neutral backdrop will let that happen!
What’s up next? We are going to be installing the plywood counter top + shelving which is really exciting. It is going to be super fun and functional!

1. Your hair looks amazing in the photo of you painting and I'm jealous. ;) Seriously, who looks cute when they paint? I look like a troll covered in paint. :) <3
2. Love those smooth ceilings and that bright fresh wall color.
Enjoy your vacay and cool temps.
