Hello and welcome to One Room Challenge reveal week! We are so excited to share our final laundry room with y'all. We took the space from 90's builder beige to 2017. And we are so excited with the results!
We brought in elements of the new neutral (stark white), woven and natural textures (via the baskets & raw wood), and Behr's color of the year, In the Moment. Add to that the glam of the silver accents, a little blue & white ceramic, and more than one house plant and we are feeling so 2017 in here!
Here is everything we've done for our Laundry Room makeover:
- Design plan
- Painting & scraping
- Oversized pegboard shelving
- DIY plywood countertop
- Hanging and painting a reclaimed cabinet
- Hang a peel & stick tile wall
- Basket wall hangings
- DIY Metal Storage Bins
- DIY Basket Pendant Light

Here is a tutorial on how to add slow close hardware to your cabinets!
This room turned out perfect for us and is now so much more enjoyable to be in. Since we both do laundry, I am really glad to have it be a reflection of both of our personalities!
Here are a ton of different over the washer & dryer shelf ideas!
We also made a video summing up the whole makeover process for you. Check it out on YouTube:
I am so thrilled with how this room turned out. Laundry is such a blah task, it is fantastic to no longer have to do it in a blah space!
We are going to be spending the week checking out as many of the One Room Challenge participants as we can. Share your favorites with me in the comments below!

Oooh, this makes me really wish I had a laundry room! Cool idea, using the basket as a ceiling lamp. Very chill, islandy vibe.
