Looking for tutorials and step by step guides for weekend woodworking projects? Here are some of our favorite ideas for builds that can be completed in a weekend!
Woodworking can easily become an all-encompassing hobby. Big projects can take weeks – or even months – to complete.
Sometimes, thats necessary. A new built in can be worth spending a months worth of nights and weekends on, for the beautiful aesthetic and function it adds to your home.
But, other times you just want a project that you can get done in a couple of days.
Enter: the weekend woodworking project. These projects:
- Able to be completed in 2 days (including dry time)
- Beginner friendly, without any advanced techniques that would take a lot of time
- Only use basic tools and simple materials that many hobby woodworkers would have on hand
- Possibly can serve as a learning opportunity to try a new skill or technique
There is something really satisfying about cranking out a full project, start to finish, in just a couple of days. We love to alternate smaller projects like these in between larger builds as a bit of a refresh and restart after being deep in the weeds on a big build.
Safety first!
Remember to always follow safety procedures when working with power tools. That means wearing protective gear such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and dust mask and using appropriate tools to ensure safe construction.
