Teenagers these days have it rough. I cannot imagine growing up so deep in cell phone and social media culture.
So, if there’s any chance to pull your kids out of technology and give them a physical project to do, I could imagine that would be extremely rewarding.
We have people contact us from time to time that are leading a high school shop class or kids building workshop and want to use one of our woodworking plans. We love this.

This project is one of our most popular ever. Build a tiny picnic table and set it up as a squirrel or bird feeder!
This project is super customizable - All they need to do is create a wood canvas, then use nails and string to add a design. A good beginner project for an artsy kid.
This laptop tray is super easy to make and very practical for doing homework!
We have made a few wooden lanterns, and this is the simplest - just nail it together!
Got pets? These cat steps are easy to make and a fun addition to any cat space. Great to build and donate to a pet shelter, too!
These planters are designed to fit on a porch railing but are easy to build from fence posts.
